It’s been a long time coming since we’ve had a Derby Day in the Premier League, almost 10 years in fact. That’s why here at Fleet Street Newcastle, we’ve decided to make the absolute most of it, and we’re inviting you to join us! It would be rude not to!
We’ve got a stacked schedule over the two days, from Saturday 13th to Sunday 14th, with an amazing line-up of legends from the Geordie contingent, as well as the usual beer, a bit of bait, and banter before the big game.

We’re kicking the weekend off with a massive event to get you all in the swing of things.
“Derby Day Eve” will see Fleet Street turn on the novelty of nostalgia with an exclusive event not to be missed. Including a line-up of ex-NUFC legends, Steve Watson, John Anderson and the Mighty Micky Quinn himself, we’ll be hosting a panel sharing their stories of iconic Derby Days of the past and much more, with the panel event being hosted by the one and only Mattie “Magpie Channel” Renton and John “Gibbo” Gibson.

And then there’s the big Derby Day itself. The first top-flight Tyne and Wear Derby in almost a decade will be shown live across all of our huge screens at Fleet Street. Get involved in possibly one of the best sports bar atmospheres to experience within Newcastle city centre. We’ll be opening our doors from 10am with walk-ins only to allow you, your friends and family to soak it all up prior to kick-off at 2 pm with the regular Fleet Street favourites of pies and pint and much more.
